dvd coping

i am new to this someone plz help i am trying to copy a movie.
28 days later. i have tryed dvdxcopy express and i could not get it to work.
i have also tried nero with no luck.
please help

As this forum is warez free, I assume you are trying to back up a movie you already own, or if you are lucky enough to live in Denmark, a one you have rented.

If the movie is under 2 hours long I would recommend you rip all the files and use Instant Copy, together with ICHSE ( see the sub forum for this )

That will keep your menu's etc intact.

If the movie is over 2 hours, just rip the "movie only" files and use dvd2dvdr.

Either way you will end up with a great "back up"

Correct, you will need to rip it to your HD first, this is the remove the CSS encryption. The Tutorial section explains it all fully.

well thanks anyway i been trying to use this dvdxcopy and just not sure what im dong wrong im trying to copy a 7.4 gd acdc dvd and it just won't work use two blanks now its getting old fast so ill try to find some easyer software thanks agin guys #3 lives on

I use ANYDVD v3.0.0.7 (which runs in the background and Encrypts the movie files on the fly) and Nero v6.0.0.23,i just put a dvd movie into my dvd rom and a blank dvd into my dvd re-writer,set the dvd function in Nero,press COPY to COPY icon then press BURN,and it does the one to one copy in less than 15 minutes.
You can get ANYDVD and the latest version of NERO if you need it from off of this forum.

dvdxcopy express no problems

hi ive been using express for 3 or so moths now and backed up over 140 of my collection. had a problem with two discs but otherwise all excellent.
this may help try putting original into dvd drive blank into writer and restart computer with discs in. on restart go straight into program and burn away. I find if the original starts on autorun etc it can cause problems and also some times if you choose entire disk option this can cause the reading to kick out at around 98 %. if this happens just untick entire disk.
ritek or and other dark purple media works perfect. hope this helps
