DVD Burning Issue

Hi All,

Being a newby to dvd burning I've copied a few dvd's without any problems using 1click dvd software.I can rip & burn a movie in about 20mins.It usually gets it all on one disc by selecting not to include all the extras & features and compresses whats left. The problem is that when I'm watching the movie I've burnt, about 2/3 of the way through it jumps back to the beginning and/or a complete frame as if it were a dirty disc but I think it's at the point of where it starts to compress the remaining data.Yet if I play it in slowmotion or fastforward there's no problem.I'm using Infinti DVD+R discs.
Can anyone help??.It happpens on all copies. It's driving me nuts...................
Media being used is medea infiniti samurai dvd+r 8x
I'm using DVD43FREE Decrypter.

Having Problems As Well

Hi All,

Having a problem also when trying to copy/create dvd's.

I can create a svcd with only with one file, any more then that half way through transcoding it shut the machine down.

I have got forceaspi installed and dvd drive dma is active, I could copy a complete dvd wthin 45 min using dvdxcopy software before with no problems.

I only stated having these problems when I install mediaplayer 9.0.

I have tried nero software version 6.0 with upgrades and sony software supplied and all do the same, At one point when created profile of six music videos to create a svcd it got so fare as to show the second video transcoding and then shut the machine down.

I am using a Sony Vaio PCGGRZ615M with XP Home, 512mb memory installed plus a 40Gb hard drive slip into two partitions. I did think it might have been space related so took some files off drive D: to leave 11mb of space but the machine still shut so far through.

I help on this would be great as I am starting to pull mt hair out about this.

Thanks

@ tigerclaw:
In your case,it could also be an overheating problem......
I have a Toshiba Satellite SA-30 and had the same problem a few months ago....laptop shutting down when encoding.
It started all of a sudden, without preventive warnings
At 1st,I thought it was an acpi problem, but it turned out that the heatsink inlet of my cpu was filled with dust.....
I cleaned the heatsink, reapplied it with new coolpasta and my problem went away.....

Works Fine!

Hi Roadworker,

Thanks its worked, created a svcd with 5 music videos of geri halliwell

There was not duct in the fan, but just rased the computer up using its rear legs and to let the air flow around the computer and it works fine.

Thanks not thought it would be something so simple.
