DVD burning help needed

I have used DVD decryptor to rip Lord of the Rings - Fellowship onto my hard drive.

It plays no bother on power dvd

How can I burn them on to 2 dvd r purely for back up purposes.

I have the following stuff:

VTS 01 stream information text file
VTS 01 0.ifo
VTS 01 1 vob
VTS 01 2 vob
VTS 01 3 vob
VTS 01 4 vob
VTS 01 5 vob
VTS 01 6 vob
VTS 01 7 vob

With DVDXCopy you must have the original DVD,
DVD2DVDR but it recompress to fit, so i think Davideo on DVD is that you need, it can split or recompress from DVD or from hard disk, but it is in German....
I do this: rename the vobs as mpeg and then author them and burn what fit on a dvdr.
Maybe someone can help you more.

hmm...
If u want to fit them on 2 dvds:

Then take the first 4 Vobs and movie it to a folder
Do the same with the last 3 files but to a seperate folder....

rename the last 3 files to VTS 01 1 vob, VTS 01 2 vob, VTS 01 3 vob......

then open Ifo edit ....select create new Ifos ... and wait some mins .... ;) do that for both "folders" "discs" or what ever ....
don´t forget Get_VTS....
then Burn it with any software (recommended = RNM4 or Nero)

Cheers Deneko for your input but i was thinking more along the lines of what elpresidente was saying.

elpresidente, sorry for sounding stupid but I am still a newbie. When i go to open the ifo file it just ask with which program to open with, is there a program that you use for editing the ifo ?

for ifoFiles ...use IFOEDIT ... also available on doom9.net

Cheers elpresidente, I was talking to a guy on another forum and he reckons that i should have some other files like T/S bup and audio stuff.

What I mentioned above was all the stuff that was in my folder, have I maybe not had the settings right on DVD decryptor?

you have ripped just the movie and not the whole disc.
You can rip the entire disc if u want to split over 2 dvdrs.

as dave said ... u have just ripped the main movie ...

but there is no need for the *.bup files = backup(of the ifos)
u r going to create new ones (with IfoEdit)

forget the audio stuff ...everything u need is in your folder ... ;)
