dvd-backup burning

Hi,
quick question.
trying to backup my dvds.
using a few freeware programs, I`m getting DeCSS errors,
cant read from protected etc. ie have to use dvddecryptor
or something ?
I was thinking of buying dvdXcopy and/or xpress. does this software get around this or will it still not copy protected dvds?

cheers,

higgles

hmmm

cheers, speedy response.

thought so.
still, why buy dvdxcopy/express/instant copy etc then ?
if half or more dvds need ripping, then you could use
dvdshrink or other freeware and then burn back ?
what does the bought software do thats worth paying for
if it cant get round protection.

hmmm

yes

i realize that, but then why buy it ? it doesn`t copy dvds ?
i dont get it, you pay for dvd backup software and it cant copy it.
so.. what use is it ?

i`m not getting shirty, just dont quite understand, if all it can do is what free ware does then why bother ? maybe it does something i`m not aware of ?

dvdxcopy works great 1 button activation copy..it will split the movie all by its self.and will also let you know if the movie will fit either on 1disc or 2 ..spits disc on when done.......great video and audio i use this proggie and it works great for me copy and burn in about 1 hour depending on your system.
