DV >>> DVD whats the best course of action?

Hi, Im trying to get my wedding video from dv tape to DVD.

I have:

a firewire card
Adobe Premiere
DVD burner (Liteon)

Premiere has produced a 9GB AVI file, I tried avi to dvd rom aene(?) but this gave no picture and was taking hours for the conversion. is there a quick and easy way to do AVI to DVD (Chickenmans tut seems a little long but I'll go that way if its the only way) or is there an easier way of going from DV to DVD direct (ish)?

go for chickenmans tute mate, its easier to understand and all free-ware..

but saying that i hav had problems with it...but you might not... Best way mate

Premiere can actually export DVD compliant MPEG2. AC3 too I think with the right plugin.

Weeding tapes you say, unless you do it the best quality way (not the quickest way), I'm sure your partner will have a few words to say about that. Just follow my tute, it is pretty easy really and shouldnt take more than overnight to convert on a recent PC.
