what format does the DV camera store its data in !?

please provide as much information as you can about what make and model the camera is what software you are using to try make the dvd video from, etc etc how you are gettin the information from the camera to the pc etc :)

Im using a DV Panasonic GS-50 and tranfer the video from the DV to PC using firewire.
The video format is in PAL.
I have Adobe Premiere 6 but the quality in that is the same, I can't capture in a good quality just "VCD" quality.
And Windows Movie Maker sucks bad so I dont want to use it.
I just want to capture the video from the DV camera in good quality to my PC, the rest (cut,edit, make the video to vob) can I do easy, but to capture to good quality is the big problem.

Its ok, I can use Pinnacle Studio 8 to make capture in good quality, the software is pretty slow but it works fine.

Yes theres Vegas Video 4 now in bed with Sony http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/vegasfamily.asp and some of the Ulead products all OF THE above have demos..
