It is Nero which is saying this not windows something about sorry your compilaton cannot be written on this kind of disc modify your settings to make it compatible - disc type in recorder cd-r these are Verbatim 8.5 gig discs trying to copy The Ring which is 6.5 gig in size.

Two possibilities:
1. Something is interfering with Nero identifying the media (post the Nerohistory log, after removing your serial number wherever it appears)
2. 1.04 firmware is old (up to 1.14 now) - maybe the drive doesn't recognise the media at 1.04 - is it ok with normal DVD +R or -R media.
Try DVDshrink / recode or whatever, and squeeze it down to a single layer burn size - you may find the quality good enough to save the expensive DL media for when you really need it.

Make sure you have changed your dropdown in nero to DVD and not left it on CD In the compile window see image attached
also make sure you have updated to the latest version of nero so it will support your drive and DL

As LTR12101B said, update your firmware, your old firmware only recognizes 2 (or was it 3) different brands of DL media (though Verbatim is one of them).
