im trying to backup a film FACE OFF trouble is when i start dvd decrypter it only finds 3.5 gig of film the other 3.2 of film i have to turn disk over and start dvd decrypter again tried to copy both sides into same folder but it says do you want to over write files not had this before not sure what to do anybody help please thanks

Don't put the 2nd side in the same folder.
2nd side vobs will have the same name as the 1st side vobs etc.
Put them in another folder and rename them to continue on from the vobs from the 1st side....i.e if the vobs from side 1 are vts01_1.vob thru to vts01_3.vob rename vobs in 2nd folder 01_4 01_5 etc.
my guess is that if it's double sided you will have to re encode too.

hi m8 thanks for that have tried that am using dvd2one prog to process files but it still only sees half the film even when all vts files are renamed 1-8 in same folder any ideas thanks

Thats because each side uses a different ifo file.
Basically u need to merge and re author the vobs and ifos.
The two sides are seen as 2 seperate and different discs.

I have provided a link below to a “Guide” that will detail how to join multiple episode DVD’s and/or double sided DVD’s (flippers) in to one VOB file set.

This “Guide” details how to use VobEdit and IfoEdit to join VOB files of different episodes and/or double sided DVD’s together in to one VOB File set that will allow DVD2one to process just like a “Normal” Movie DVD with chapters.

I hope this information is useful for forum members who are wanting to “BackUp” Multiple Episode DVD’s and/or Double Sided (flipper) DVD’s using DVD2one. I believe this “Guide” is simple to understand and easy to use.

merging is simple, just do as I said above with the vobs.Then whack them all in 1 folder, open ifoedit and click "create new ifo's"
Takes a few minutes then open dvd2one.

still having problems with double sided dvd "flippers" the 2 movies ive tried FACE OFF and AIRFORCE 1 if i watch side A in power dvd then turn over for side B the film start again in different place ie not concurrent so when i rp both sides with dvd decrypter to 2 diferent folders cant seem to be able to join up correctly have noticed that at end of side B the play,setup and scene selection option screen is displayed have tried with theguide above but cant seem to find which is "last vob id on side a in navigation pack" any help and advice appreciated thanks
