Drives & WMI Fieldtest !UPDATED!

Drives & WMI Fieldtest

Hi All!

UPDATE3
Now, i hopfully got it right this time! @FortiTude you might got diffrent values on the 2nd run cause i screwed up when adding the new routines!
@All! Now all determination routines should run correctly! so if youre in for another run, go ahead :D

UPDATE2
Sorry guys! messed up a little when updating, attachment temporarily removed! will readd when i have time to fix it! (l8h today). Thanks to those who already supplied their info! (Maybe you can do it again?!? :D)

UPDATED

Since it was such a challenging task to include system os and language, i updated the test app to determin it automaticly :D

I am trying to narrow down on a problem that nyplayer has reported on doom9's forum! For this i need to collect some information from as many diffrent windows configurations as possible. So if you would like to help, plz download the attached little app, start it (vb runtimes needed) and post the displayed info to this thread, including wich language your os is and what os you are using.
This could help a lot!

Any help is appreciated!

Greetnx

Neither do i , but its always looking scientific if you print numbers on the screen :D :D :D

seriously, i am trying to find some flaws in a routine, and since i only have 4 German os machines to test on, i need tests from other os's and other configurations. The stuff you see on screen helps me locate possible error!

So again, any1 equal if using InstantCopy/ IC.H.S.E. or not, if your willing to help me on this, participate!

TIA

Hi Duracell!

i would appreciate it if you could run the tests anyway, you need neither InstantCopy nor InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor to do it.

I pulled some stuff from IC.H.S.E wich seems to be unstable on certain configurations and build this little test app, so i can see if the code works as it should or doesnt. so i can try to fix it if possible.

TIA

1. i have no real DVD-Rom drive in my PC;

2. in theory both virtuall drives are able to mount DVD images (according to the manual), but never tried it because i never had a DVD image; maybe they are listed as "CD-ROMS only" because i never did set the region code;

Whats the story with your N: drive ?!
From the results it just happen to be a DVD drive.
Did you temporarily deactivate it in the device manager ?!
