Don't Understand Burning

I have successfully ripped a DVD using DVD shrink. Playback in PowerDVD from the hard disk is absolutely perfect. However, when I burn it to a DVD using NERO classic (Mode 1 ISO9660 joliet diabled) the playback from the DVD is blocky with pixels breaking up and very jerky. The picture will freeze on my DVD player more than on the PC. Has anyone seen this before ?? I have tried using two different types of media with no discernable difference. Burner is a MSI DR-4A which I have upgraded the firmware to 3.1, came with 2.17. OS is Win/XP, Athlon 1900, 256MB DDR RAM.

i'm not sure what's supposed to happen if u use ISO9660 for a dvd-video, but the filesystem u need to use is UDF. if that doesn't help, then my next two guesses are that either the dvd player is incapable of playing whatever format u've burned the movie onto (u can check what it's capable of playing here), or that the media isn't of high enough quality.
