Hi, is kinda a newbie here.

I have a NEC 1300A, tested diffrent firmwares (1.08, 1.00) and are running 1.00A now. Running nero 6 and have also tested RecordNow.

I can burn dvd+rw and some dvd-r, have a bunch of other dvd-r disc here that I have burned on before for maby a month ago. but now suddenly I can't burn on them anymore.
The recorder just opens the slot and a message appears that it don't have enought space to burn on the disc.

anyone that have some idéas or similar problem?

if they are + or - R media then if the session or disk is closed then you will not be able to add more to the media its as simple as that :)

if its a DVDRW then maby you can erase the data and start again !?

remember with a multisession disk the cd or DVD blank needs a little room to open and close each session on the disk each multisession adds up to a little more of the disk space ...whats probs happened here is the amount of data plus the multisession read out is more than the disk its self !?

maby try burn with close session or close disk if you are near the end of the cd and see if that helps !?

if not then you are out of luck use another disk .... all bar OVERBURNING which is not always a good idea if the drive does not support this and also it may render the disk unusable in some systems.... so the only way to rescue data from it would be with iso buster or other disk util type recovery program :)

you can always experiment with the DVDRW :)

Maby I explained everything wrong.
The problem is that I can't burn some dvd-r discs that I have burned on before (not trying to burn on the same discs, just the same brand).

I dont "overburn" the discs either. maby trying to burn 3gb on a 4,7gb disc.

maby try burning at a slower rate and see if that helps !?

you could have a bad batch of disks it happens sometimes :)
