does this speed up your 56k

hi guys anyone know anything about this

then same again but MaxConnectionsper1-0Server //enter /enter add a for value


note no spaces capitals at start of each word

modem settings/connections/advanced/extra settings change to at&f

im on 56k and was given this information it seems to have improved my speed signicantly was at 42.6k now shows 115.2k does anybody else want to try feedback appreciated

MaxConnectionsPerServer, well the name describe quite good what it does. this registry key configures the number of simultaneous requests to a single www server.
The amount of traffic increases, works fine on my ADSL but don't know about a 56k, anyway if your speed gets better then use it, don't choose a big number tho, I think 4-6 should be fine.
 
I"m on 56k too with a Zoom v.92 modem and the speed always shows 115.2K...I think it"S a fake indication as the max download speed is about 4-5kb/s...
 
no, this will not speed up your dialup. you only have so much bandwidth. it helps with broadband when the server is slower than your max download speed then you can use multiple channels, if the server allows. this also depends entirely on the configuration of the server.

I'm willing to give it a try, a little lost right about there. Where is this setting ( from the quote above) exactly? What version of windows a u using?
