does DirectCD delete the winxp native burning function (Imapi cd burning com service?

I tried to activate the native winxp burning service (imapi cdburning), but windows said that it cannot find the WINDOWS\System32\ImapiRox.exe. I installed directcd from the winoncd 5 cd by accident (forgot to uncheck the box) and uninstalled it then. maybe it also uninstalled the native service? because both are by roxio, so maybe when one installs directcd, it uninstalls the native burning? please, would somebody, who has directcd installed, check, whether the file
%systemroot%\System32\ImapiRox.exe

is still present on their system?

I do not know, how to reinstall this service, without reinstalling windows completely, 'cause it's not listed in the add/remove dialogue box of windows

The native support to burn CDRW in Windows XP is a crap. Roxio crap.

Why do you need this piece of sh**t ?

I've disable this funtion on my Windows XP and installed ASPI with Force ASPI, and all work OK.

It'snot because I need it, it's because I want it, just to make some test. When I installed XP for the first time (back in the betas times) I tried the featured. After a while I disabled it, but I never deleted that file. So if anyone has it, please post it here.

Ok, you knows what you are doing !!!
It's not only my opinion, but it's the opinion of the Cdrsoft gurus.

I don't have found in my system ImapiRox.exe
I've searching also in the original Windows XP CD.

I've find only the files imapi.exe and imapi.sys

I don't know if these files are useful for you.

If yes, I can put attached here !
