Hello m8s
I would like to make this question to the people here.
After several tests done with 2 different applications: Nero (5.5.0.54 and 6.3.0) and Burnatonce (BAO version 0.99b) and 2 very used antivirus: NAV 2004 pro and Kaspersky AVP pro 4.5.0.94 I don't know if you have noticed the following:
Extremely high physical memory use when using CD/DVD mastering applications having a resident AV scanner ennabled. The most common simpthom is that the computer becomes less responsive when burning big files (700MB and up) in an ISO mode compilation (I call it mastering, I don't know if this is the correct term) image burning (BIN/CUE, Alcohol, Nero Image burning, etc) is not affected.
If you like you can see this thread that is the way to spot the problem:

All the applications tested worked ok having the antivirus scanners off while burning. I personally think that this is a bug in the antivirus programs and that it should be corrected. What I am very sorprised is to find so small information about this in the different forums.
I would like to know if you leave your AV program scanner ennabled while burning.
You can post comments about if you have noticed this problem also. This have been tested with more than one writer and have been confirmed by the antivirus companies in email answers from technical support.
