what is your system specs and are you running other things in the background?

Most recent PCs shouldn't have a problem, but if you have a low amount of HDD space or RAM you could run into problems, aswell as running other things in the background.

only progs in taskbar daemon 3.17 ,ati launcher and getright

Try using DivX 4.12. I had major problems with DivX 5.02 using DVD2SVCD& Vidomi. When I used DivX 5.02, audio always lagged with both programs. Problem solved after I used DivX 4.12

no I don't think so Shoeb, as I have a couple and no problems with it. Could be a particular setting or just something odd running in the background (antivirus) or something.
Some people do have more issues with DivX 5.02 (especially on winXP machines), while others don't. Although personally I think it would be better if someone went to 3.11alpha then (as more widely used over 4.x, but that's just a matter of taste).

PS
some people do run into problems when using download managers as the encoding process hogs a lot of memory and is writing at the same time your download is writing on the HDD. Try without getright on, but if still doesn't solve the problem, then just try 3.11 or 4x
