Divx to SVCD

Hi!

I'm new on the forum, and I already have a question:

How can I convert DivX to SVCD with the subtitles?

I have already read the great ChickenMan tutorial, but is never mentioned the subtitles.

Can you help me?

hello you should download dvd2svcd here www.dvd2svcd.org asuming you already have TMPGEnc. open install dvd2svcd and open it then go to the misc tab as input file choose avi and output file svcd now goto the subtitles tab choose rip subtitles and permanent subtitles now goto the conversion tab and open the avi file then click the check button and click add external subtitles add the subtitle and click the check again and start converting.


can someone help me with: when I use dvd2svcd to convert avi 2 svcd I can only play the movie to 11 minutes then it stoppes

If you have a *.str subtitle file with your DivX file, then set it up as per my Tute, but in the Subtitles tab, tick on Rip Subtitles and select Permanent. then when your ready to start encoding and click the button with the green tick, it shows an option of "Add External Subtitle Streams", then click that and piont to your *.str file. Then continue on with the conversion.
