I have recently 'migrated' a couple of DivX movies to DVD.
I used Nero Vision Express quite happily, imported the DivX and got Nero VE to automatically generate Chapters and create a menu for the disk. It goes on to write the DVD as well.
Time taken was 4-5 hours on a Celeron 1.7Ghz with 512 MB RAM.
Having watched the DivX file, I knew it was of high quality and had no bad frames. Thus I didn't include a step to verify bad frames.
