Divx in Linux

There are many solutions available, which are not included in mainstream distros due to legal issues. You could try mplayer ( http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design6/news.html ) which is a terrific multimedia player -it even has a Windows Media Player classic skin, brrr...-, or avifile ( http://avifile.sourceforge.net/), which can play divx, asf, quicktime movies...
Of course there's also the Tux standard, modular xine to be considered ( http://xinehq.de/ ).
You should be able to find built rpm's for most of them in SuSE Packman project- many major distros have such parallel projects for packages with legal issues, eg Mandrake has Penguin Liberation Front.
