DivX 5 no sound

I have downloaded a few episodes of 2 tv series, but some have no sound. WMP message: Error=80040200.
Gspot reports the video format is DivX 5, but "Some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format". Which codec could that be?

Name: divx (same as wma) (0x0161) DivX

Status: Codec IS installed, details: Name, Wave_Format_Divx (same as wma)

I have 2.1.

The information I gave was from the Audio Format field.
The DirectShow Render, Audio Media and Audio Codec fields are empty, if that is what you mean.

Yes, I was after the Audio codec but you say its empty.

I suggest you instal DivX 3.11a codec as well as it includes a DivX audio that it may be trying to say you need.

It looks like it does have something to do with the 3.11 codec after all.
Gspot now reports "ACM Wrapper -> DivX ;-) Audio" in the audio field. Also the file should be playable. However, it doesn't work.
Mediaplayer starts, it even says "Playing", but it stays at 00:00. So it is not really playing, there is no picture and no sound (without this new codec only the sound was missing). The volume slider and the speaker icon in Mediaplayer are enabled now (they weren't before).

Any idea what could be wrong this time?

Maybe try to convert the DivX audio to MP3 then with VirtualDUB. Load in the AVI file, in Video set to Direct Stream Copy. In Audio set to Full Processing Mode. Then in Audio again, set the Compression to MP3, say at 128bits Stereo 44.1 (or 48 if it is already). Then in File, hit Save AVI, give a NEW name and wait for a while. Then try playing the new AVI.
