New versions of our products have been released. Plextor's latest writing technologies, GigaRec and VariRec II, have been added. 3rd party image support for the .BIN + .CUE and .NRG formats has been added to all of our products. Windows Server 2003 is now supported by all of our products. These changes and others can be found by updating to the latest version of the license you have purchased.

Using GigaRec with the latest Plextor Premium drive will allow for writing to normal CD-R media with following expanded storage sizes. Each percentage represents the value available with the "density gain" selection in the "Method" panel of relevant DiscJuggler tasks.

74 minute media
20% - 82 minutes - 715 megabytes
30% - 89 minutes - 780 megabytes
40% - 93 minutes - 815 megabytes

80 minute media
20% - 96 minutes - 840 megabytes
30% - 104 minutes - 910 megabytes
40% - 112 minutes - 980 megabytes

Using VariRec II with the latest Plextor Premium drive will allow for selectable optimized writing strategies to different types of CD-R media. Each value represents the writing strategy for the different types of media according to the CD-R dye type and manufacturer. These values are available in the "Maximize quality" selection in the "Method" panel of various DiscJuggler tasks. Each section has a -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 value. The default section is recommended.

hmmmmmm wonder if anyone will offer a firmware hack that allows ALL plextors to use this !? maby im just hopeing too much lol :)
