Direct Capture to .mpg

Usually, it took 4 hrs for me to capture, render to VCD, & burn 1 hour of video footage using Premiere (without editing activity).

Is there a software that will capture any video from analog or digital sources directly to .mpg file / vcd compliant so that no further encoding of video file when burning to VCD?

This will I think save much time.

For best results, use Pinnacle with HW AV analog capture, or Dazzle (I own a Dazzle PCI card that captures up to DVD MPG2 on the fly; using TMPGEnc DVD Author can author VOB files for burning to DVD, or can capture to MPG2 SVCD compliant to drop into Nero and burn as SVCD..
