@Denexo and all members

;)

this is my "tutorial" to encode with subs in canopus:

you need:
mplapx.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system 60 KB

cpuinf32.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32 20 KB

mplvpx.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32 1.096 KB

subrip(102 or new),vobsub220(216 or new) and canopus.

01 -
install subrip.
open the prog,select ifo....etc..
save as (many formats..i use microdvd format)
other formats works too.
is better save the subs with the same name of your move.

02 -
install vobsub(atention please)
when you run setup, click in the "plugins",
and tick "vobsub for virtualdub".(very important)!
reboot your system!!!!!!
after install and reboot, call "directvobsub configure":

a -
in main tab, open your .sub and choose:
font , size, color and mark "only shows forced subtitles".

b -
in general tab,in loading, choose "always load".

c -
in misc tab, tick "apply changes immediately"

d -
in paths tab, browse to your subs directory, and click "add".

e -
"apply" all changes then "ok".

03 -
install canopus,reboot!

open the movie(avi,divx...etc)in canopus,
select svcd....etc.
then dvobsub open automatically (write this way!)(i learn)
your subtitle.(see the green arrow next of clock)
right click in the green arrow and configure dvobsub again if needed.(see a preview)
in the encode tab you will see
your movie be encoded WITH subtitles.(click preview)

that's all ;)
:D

CM,i do a (svcd with sub) sample with 1,63mb.
can i post it here?
thanks in advance!

C'mon m8, you know that ain't true. I know you are joking. ;)

But any tut's leached from sites without the authors consent is not really accepted here. Any link to such is more than fine as long as the site is non warez or indeed your own methods also, these are greatly apreciated.

Hope this clears it all up. :)

Thanks for closing the thread Bertieg, though I'll open this thread again, 1) to answer jorels question and 2) so he can attach the file.

@jorel, yes no problem at all, just attatch.

@denexo, any further lame arse statements or jokes will lead to more than just closing the thread.

It works

jorel :) :D
As i wrote: I´ll test it and let you know how it goes!

I congratulate you! :) :) :)

I ripped the movie “SPHERE” then I renamed it to mpeg, I downloaded the Greek subtitles, opened Canopus Procoder and all worked like you wrote. (dvobsub open automatically) and at the conversion window I saw the subtitles!
:D :D

One comment.
You wrote on step 02 -

when you run setup, click in the "plugins",

reboot your system!!!!!!

when you tick vobsub for virtualdub, the installation asks you to browse there where virtualdub installed is. So i have not virtualdub installed on my system and just hit ok. Then i get an error message, hit ok again and finished! Good is that it works even having this error message!

Another feature:
VobSub loads automaticaly with media player too, so you can see subtitles with media player too! Well this is not neccesery for most of you, but for people like me (living in other country where is not easy to find DVD movies in my native language or with my countrys subtitles) (I have to download the subtitles)!

But
there are some problems with these settings on Vobsub!
Every time you want to open an mpeg or avi....vobsub opens too.
with media player there is no problem but with some other players yes.
open Tmpeg and go to Merge & Cut and play the file, vobsub opens and sometimes Tmpeg freeze,
or after adding a file and before burning make a preview then Vobsub opens and Nero freeze.
That means is better to change the settings on Vobsub only before encoding and then reset them.

yes, when you don't want to use it,
go to:
directvobsub configure,in general tab,
in loading........then change to:
do not load.
this will work and don't open no more.
you change this sets when you need.

:)
