Hi,

I'm looking foward to buy a new laptop, witch should be a desktop replacement.

The best deal would be, I think, a Dell Inspiron 8500 wich gives this:
Pentium 4-M 2.2 Ghz
15.4po WUXGA screen
512Mb RAM (2 Dimm)
64Mo DDR 4X AGP NV28
60 Gb HD (I think its 4400 Rpm)
No floppy (but a 64Mo Dell USB key)
WinXP Home
10/100+Modem integrated
Integrated Wireless (miniPCI Dell TrueMobile™ 1300 WLAN (802.11b/g, 54Mbps) )
3 years mail-in service

All this for 3 060,82 Canadian dollar (witch give 2 155,95 US dollars or 1 906,55 Euro)...

But the thing is... I've heard that the keyboards on those system are really awfull... Anyone ca confirm? or infirm? I don't want to buy a laptop witch the keyboard sucks!!!

Tank you very much

yeah and laptops break easy when you put yer feet up on them bleh :(

laptops are great and fantastic if you want to use your puter on the move but the downfall is BATTERY duration and the extra costs for upgrading or wanting to upgrade :(

My other fault with a laptop is the graphics are usually onboard and SUCK bigtime for anything other than word processing and simple paint packages and is almost useless for playing the latest games on :(

you can use external usb keyboards ..but .... this defeats the objects of portability :(
