Decrypting - no sound

Hi, I'm trying to backup my Monty Python's Life of Brian onto DVD-R, but when I decrypt it, there's no sound on the movie but there's sound on the extras and menu. Can anyone please tell me what I'm doin' wrong. I use DVD Decrypter. Thanks.

The film will have 5.1 audio and the menu and extras is usually only 2 channel. If your watching it on your standalone make sure you have the correct settings on your dvd standalone. Also try playing the new vob files on your pc and see if there is any sound coming from that.

Use DVD2one to compress & select all Audio & see what happens (or whatever compressor u use)
Thanks Poacher, What I've done now is just burn the movie ONLY after shrinking it & Nero burnt it OK. Just won't do the whole DVD as is, but never mind, at least I've got a backup. Once again, thanks. bloody thing must be protected to hell, or I'm just a total idiot, more than likely the latter. Cheers Madarse.

Hi Bertieg, Decrypted the whole DVD - no sound on the movie only on features, shrunk it & still no sound, I then burnt it ( the whole lot) played it on my stand alone, there was sound but very poor quality. I then burnt only the movie & it turned out spot on. My question is, what the hell am I doin' wrong. I use DVD Decrypter, Shrink, and Nero express. By the way I am a complete novice, self taught, with a bloody house full of coasters ! ha ha. Cheers Madarse.
