Has anyone any experience of this unit for capturing Analogue video from a VCR.
System requirements call for

Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 2.0 GHz or higher
256 MB RAM
1 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port
Windows XP
DirectX 9 or higher compatible sound card and graphics card
500 MB of disk space to install software
CD-ROM drive
Internet connection is required to activate MPEG-2 related features
Optional:
CD burner for creating Video CDs or Super Video CDs
DVD burner drive for creating DVDs

The only thing missing is the 2ghz, mine is AMD 1.47.
Will it work or will it create problems.

By what you say, "on the fly NO" but OK to encode to HDrive and send to burner.?

Another point, have you had trouble with Nero refusing MPEG 2 due to dispute, and says, use plug-ins.

If you're short of CPU power, you'd have to capture to a less demanding format than MPEG2 (as with only software encoding, that would require a system fast enough to encode in realtime - is that even POSSIBLE, as everyone always grumbles about how long MPEG2 encoding takes).

On the verge of taking the plunge to DVD, so not had the pleasure of sorting out all the hassles with that yet!
