I just thank the maker, that "the frog" is not doing all that well over here in the States. Oh yes, we've seen the adverts for it (late at night on lame stations)... but thus far we seem to have given it a pass.

My family in the UK have said that "the frog" has become an epidemic... a nightmare of ringtones everywhere you are. Something like the plague of the frogs from the "Ten Commandments." :eek:

TWICE sometimes three times in one advert break on every channel and now its #1 in the music charts knocking coldplay from the top spot :mad: :mad:

Still at least it proves there are still braindead numpties out there as U would have to be to buy one (they sound utter crap & sound like they composed on one of those old bontempti keyboards :eek:

All the most IRRITATING ringtones are brought to you by the evil JAMSTER empire, yes, the Frog, Sweetie the chick and friends, the stupud Dragon - they are all Jamster!

One warning, if you ever feel the need to buy anything from Jamster (I dont!), most things will end up with you subscribing until you cancel - though all the reputable companies (and Jamster are) have the standard "text STOP to nnnnn" arrangement for unsubscribing.

Personally, I'd be happy if my mobile provider offered an blocking option for any "pay to receive" content, as there have been plenty of cases of less reputable companies taking advantage.

Out of 3 mobiles in our family, one, possibly, does WAP - never bothered to find out how, and one does KEYPRESS mono ringtones - I have no desire for a phone that does anything other than occasional calls, on the cheapest tariff possible (on that low volume, PAYG works out best, thaough it does make each call quite expensive, it costs less overall than the cheapest pay monthly)

Could be worse, could be the ringtone ads we had for awhile here that was a dancing cellphone with Flav-R-Flav's (if I'm spelling it wrong, i dont' honestly care, lol) face on it and a ringtone of him shouting "YEAAAAAH BOYEEEEEEE, Pick up the phone!"

Anyone who actually put that on their phone needs to seek mental help. Quickly.

nice you just gave them free advertisement LTR lol :)

anyhow i have 2 phones one for private and one for public :)

my public one .... so long as people ring me on it i dont have to get any topup/payasyougo credit to use it :)

and i get calls on it daily lol so basically other than what i paid for it ages ago its a free phone no rental nada nothing :)

my other i credit once a week and just text off it .. the rest of the family is on the same network so its next to nothing to text them :)


why two phones u ask !?

well long story short i got them when i was on dialup one for incomming calls and one for out going lol :)
