how can I edit segments of dvd's to put them on to a disc? I want to make a demo disc for work.

Most likely there are other ,and probably better ways,but I use Womble's MPEG-VCR and select the VOB files I want to edit,then edit the files and save them in a folder to reauthor to a compliant dvd again with my favorite dvd-authoring program........
Thats how I would do it also Roady if the clip I want was not a whole chapter. MPEG2Cut can also be used and its free

Dark Avenger's latest build or the follow-up beta's from RocketJet???
Just asking,because a mod version isn't always better than the build of the original author...
I've normally used DA's original, but doing some simple cutting with RocketJets last Alpha version, I have no problems so far. I see the new ver can append as well, I'd just leave that to the authoring tool though. So as a simple cutter, go with the new alpha as it does appear to set the time code back for each clip to 00:00:00 (needed for proper re-authoring).
Seems much more complicated/advanced than Womble's tool......lots of options that I've no idea of what they mean...
You load in the VOB or mpeg2 file, slide the pointer at the bottom to the START of the clip you want and click on the [ button, then move pointer to the END of the clip and hit the ] button. Then Save Clip. Couldnt be much simpler than that But hey, if you know and understand Wonbles tool then stay with it, it works perfect. I was just offering a free alternative, thats all
