cutting avi files??..

umm how do i cut an avi file and make it end at a certain point of the video??..what program do i need??..i tried using tmpgenc but it didnt work so i figured it was for mpeg files only....

umm i got the program called "ALL Video Splitter"....i splitted my avi video but when i played it it wasnt right....the sounds were way off and the sub files??..
what did i do wrong??..i choose this for the options....

Use Video Compressor: DivX 5.1.1 Codec
Use Audio Compressor: MPEG Layer-3

it also had many other options which i can choose....but i dont know which ones to choose so i thought those were best....

sounds ur sound & sub ain't synchronized,is ur avi video with no bad frames,does it play smoothly from start till end with no probs?
give virtualdub(mod) a try...i've never got any probs while cutting avi or ogm with it

There's a nice little tool named "avichop" or "avi shop" version 0.2.
This tool doesn't need installation and it's free.
