Cutting a Divx/Avi

Hi ive got a very big (829mb) avi/Divx and i need to get it on an 800mb cd (90 min) and really need some help cutting/trimming it e.g credits, ive tried so far avi & mpeg splitter to no avail as this seems only to copy the selection and doesnt actually take any off the larger file, can anyone please recommend me something to trim/cut the file to 800mb

Definatly VDubMod over the regular version if it uses VBR mp3 audio. Also VDubMod has nandub's goto last keyframe feature which should be usefull.

Also unless the file is for a standalone, you might want to try saving it as a MKV instead of an AVI, this will reduce the filesize without cutting.
