cue file help

Hi all,

I have been asked by a friend to write him a CD as his CDRW has just gone up in smoke (well packed in anyway) but I havn't got a clue what to do.

He gave me a MP3 rip of his new dance album and its one file (106 MB to be exact) and theres also a cue file, he told me to use the cue file to write the CD with as he doesn't want any gaps in the playback but I havn't got a clue how to do this and he's buggered of on his Holidays for the week so I can't get hold of him :(.

PLEASE help me, I have Nero 5.5.10.15 installed.

Thanx inadvance :)

If it's a cue file made by EAC,your best chance to make a proper cd is using EAC or VOB InstantCd-Dvd to burn the image, most cue burning programs can't handle the special EAC cuesheets very well.......if the cue is made with another program, probably zver's suggestion is ok.......:)

Nero does not burn cuesheet based .mp3 files. Only image binaries and raw filestreams, eg .wav
Only Exact Audio Copy and Wavelab 4.0 can do that job. Feurio possibly?! - never tried it.
Maybe Instant Copy 7 too, not used it for the job so I don't know. Version 6.5 will not do. It will accept the cuesheet, but it will pop up an error msg when you'll push the write button.

I don't know what program he used but I downloaded EAC (version 0.9 beta 4) as suggested and it loaded the cue file but I don't know how to write the CD???.

What I did was click "Write" then when the new box appeared I clicked "File" then "Load Cue Sheet", it displayed all the tracks but I don't know what to do know?
It wont let me select my CDRW, and all the options in the CDR section are grayed out.

Theres also a m3u file included in the file he gave me. Anyone got any suggestions?

si: You must have either ASPI, or Asapi (by VOB software) installed in your system. You may be able to burn even by using the NT native layer, but you'd rather avoid it.
Open up EAC, press F9 and on the "interface" tab choose the one that is present in your system.
You won't need the m3u file at all.

would this not be able to be burnt with CDRWIN 3.9c or CD MATE !? @ "si" have u a CDRW (re-writeable) that you could test burn with and erase to save on wasted disks !? altho this would prolly not work in a hi-fi/stereo it can be played ok in the puter :)

cdmate and cdrwin are easy to use :)
