Cucusoft AVI to VCD/DVD

has anyone tried Cucusoft AVI to VCD/DVD?
i am having problems converting the full avi file to dvd.
does anyone know of a reason why?

@ ReLiVaNt seems you are having quite a bit of trouble with this converting.Did you create these avi's,or download them?The source of your avi files could well be the problem.I'm not one of the experts,but I have easily converted Avi's to dvd compliant mpeg-2 by using tmpgenc.Cinema craft encoder is also a good choice(maybe better).

Anyways, a lot of time,and work is involved.

not meaning to be sarcastic.
woody, i downloaded the files and they were decompressed with divx.
well, i looked over the tutorial that involves converting divx to mpeg2 but i dont have all that space for all those programs. i just want to put these moveis on dvd without chapters. i know there is a lot of steps involved and i'm trying to learn them as i go along. sorry to be a pain.

Okay,now it's clearer.If they are divx,Chickenman's tutorial is the way to go.You will need to free up some space(don't know if you can).Creating dvd's requires hard disc space,not many ways around that,especially in this case. ;)

thanks, know i need a faster processor and a bigger hard drive. for now i will learn more about what i am doing and watch from my computer.
