i am trying to back up a movie from region 1 (but would like to make it non region)but not having much luck. i have anydvd 3.3.2.1 running and have tried backing it up with nero dvdxcopy dvd decrypter ( also dosnt help that i have to shrink it first)but it keeps saying dvd encrypted constant scambling system (css) any ideas what this is and how to get round it. i dont suppose there is a tool like any dvd to run in the back ground. any help would be appriciated thanks

Are you starting with dvd decrypter (3.1.9.0) because one of the first things this program does is when your ripping it makes it region free. I don't know how you shrink it but if you use dvd shrink (3.1.5) do you have it set to region free? I would look in your setting because you could be taking it off and just puting it back on. I would say you might want to try The Totally FREE & Easy Backup guide, works for me. Its a little out dated but you'll get the idea. Let us know how you make out.
