A recent release, and one I'd never heard of before... also appears to be capable of making multiplier adjustments onder some conditions.

It does work.

The Sony laptop users group at Yahoo has been experimenting with this for the past few weeks (I am one of many to test). It's great for underclocking your processor on a laptop to save your precious battery life. You see PowerNow does not always work, but this way you can get the same results. Take your XP 1900+ (1.6Ghz) processor and make it act like a 500mhz processor. You can do other stuff with it too, but this is all we have experimented with thus far.
