Crucial sells 4 GB DIMM for $7,000

Not that the average user will have a need for this now but, the jump in GB's will help in some high end systems. And as in all technology there will someday be the trickle down effect for the rest of us.

Ouch!
A pair of 2Gb is a lot cheaper, and value improves pretty well all the way down.

Mind you, it would be nice to find an old web archive of the price memory used to be per megabyte - I have friends who remember £25 (UK) per Megabyte, though that's a little before my time.

@LTR12101B LOL that wasent that long ago bud for those kinda prices at least within the last 8 or so years !?

lol used to be the same with hard drive space i paid £150 for a 3.2 gb hard drive about 5 maby 6 years or more ago ?! ....oddly enough the quantum fireball 3.2gb is still going strong as my windows boot drive lol :)
