crossroads help!

ok, im making a dvd to vcd, and i use dvd2avi

the problem is that the sound doesnt go with the video, seems like the sound=1 sec. behind the vid! can anyone help?? thanks!

somehow dvd2avi=also make ac3 files(3 of them) instead of the old .wav files! help!
im using the newest version too of dvd2avi, the older one didnt get like 1 hr. of the sound

have you recently installed an ac3 codec? Probably overwrote a file that normally makes the wav format. This is also probably why your sound is not-NSYNC (lol couldn't resist that one).
Can you state which version of dvd2avi you are using? You say newest, but that doesn't really tell us (as their is a hacked version out & the original version).
I assume your sound is off after you have made the mpg file with TMPGEnc? -did you follow a template (if not what settings did you use) & how did you get 3 ac3 files to load into TMPGEnc for the mpg conversion?
Other than that, I can't think of reasons that would cause issues, though am sure ChickenMan or someone else might know off the bat.

The new 1.77.x version of DVD2AVI has a different menu structure and you will need to set it up again. Dont use the 1.8x ver as it cannot handle sound very well at all.

In Audio / Output Method select Decode to WAV (AC3, LPCM), else you will never get a WAV file. All other settings as per the tutorial.
