Critics wanted!!

I need some critique on this picture. It was made with Drawing Hands Art Studio. What's right with it and what's wrong with it? It will be used for another project.

It's a great picture!
The only thing I notice,is that the left eye is a bit darker than the right 1.......but I'm on my laptop,so it could be also my screen that things doesn't display properly......

The only thing I see is the same as roadworker says. The difference in eye color. But, depending on the person viewing, it can also be seen that some subtle light is coming from that direction which would also make the eye lighter.

The lighting was coming from the left side, that's why the eye and side of face are darker. PC- how did you know it was me?

The left eye looks to dark and to small also the left nostril looks to dark and to visible . Apart from that it`s a damn good drawing. :)

I knew it was you as well. ;)

Indeed the lighting does look correct with a strong one-point light source. In color portrature, it would not fine as there would be a colored shadow and less contrast in that area. But since you are using black and white medium here, a little fill in that area might help. Try the tone that is in the triangular patch behind your nose (known as Short Lighting or Rembrandt Lighting). Perhaps a shade darker. You will have better contrast between your eyebrow and that shadow. Should make your that eye look larger and in proportion to the other. Mind you it's not bad... just a preference.

Never used this proggie. But your work is nicely done Janie.

Trouble is, these days you look at any picture and think which art effect could have been used - I would have guessed at it being a photo that had been "doctored" with a charcoal or drawing effect.
