Creating albums for MP3 playback on CDr/RW

I recently bought a CD player capable of playing MP3's and it is capable of choosing the album, then the MP3 song.

However, each time I try to burn I am only able to record all the songs and am unable to create albums (i.e. the LCD monitor says albums '1', songs '83' e.g.).

This is annoying as all the songs play in the wrong order and are not grouped by artist, only alphabetically.

Can anyone shed any light on how to create MP3 albums that can be chosen on my player (I am using Instsnt CD/DVD by Pinnacle Systems) instead of just burning songs at random?

Thanx!

Sorry Scarecrow, I'm very, VERY new to creating MP3 compilations. What do you mean? All I've done is located the files on my HD and added them to the burn list. I assume there is something I should be doing before burning?

p.s. I use MMJB to rip the MP3's.

You need a decent MP3 tagger. Some of the best are free:

http://tagger.de.vu
Plus many more, but the above are great- probably better than most commercial MP3 taggers.
You should probably change the MP3 filenames from {songname}.mp3 to 001.{songname}.mp3 as well, and avoid sorrting problems- although most standalone players use the tag and not the filename to sort the MP3 tracks.
For compatibility reasons, use just ID3 v.1.X tags, and wipe completely the ID3 v.2.X ones.
