crashing when audio transcoding

When I have processed my SVCD in DVD Lab I have errors with the audio frequency and try to correct with the DVD Lab Audio Transcoder. After ten minutes or so my PC hangs every time and I have to reboot.
Is my processor too slow (AMD 750/ 384mb ram) or could it be something else?
(The SVCD is approx 860 mb)
Thx

If that doesn't work, try GoldWave... it's exceptionally robust when it comes to reading buggy audio files.

I tried to convert AVI to SVCD with DVD2SVCD and all was going fine but the PC froze again - I think my processor is too slow.
It's shame, I must have tried to convert/burn 40+ movies with nil success. Back to Cubase!
Thx anyway

Generally when your PC freezes during encoding, it tends to be Memory related or your CPU getting 2 hot (check your fan) .
