CR-RW / CD-ROM does not play CD audio

I can't play CD-audio with my CD-RW (Creative Blaster) and CD-ROM (Teac) using Winamp and Windows media player 7.1. But I can play audio cd's using Power DVD 4.0.
Why is that? How do I configure my CD drives so that I can play audio cd's using Winamp and Media Player?
Please help!

Btw, My CD-RW is connected as Secondary Master & my CD-ROM is Primary Slave.:confused:

:D :D :D Yo star sounds like you've got powerdvd as the default player.
open up winamp or win media player. go to options (wmp) then select formats. look 2c if the format is ticked ie wav mp3 etc if not tick the media you need or select all. then wmp should play you files from cd....could b anything we need more info bwoy...

I'm now running audio cds using winamp as well as media player.

But now when I upgraded to Power DVD 4 Deluxe, I got some kinda "audio error" when I played audio CD's. Is there a patch to remove such error or some other solution.

Pls I need another advise.

Sorry 4 delay ..next time PM mi much easy 4 mi..wot is D error message? & yes Pdvd xp has a new vesion out now..
But still Pdvd should still play audio files. r U running WinXP? If so I can't help u cos I hate it....but still let mi know how you get on..

Rastabt, I got audio code error "80070005". I can't play Audio CD and VCD's this tym with ds PDVD deluxe4. "Access denied".
What do ya think s the best Video/audio player?
I'm running with WinME.

First, i got power dvd4 deluxe,newest version from cdrsoft--version1329--great player and everything works...For audio-video player,go with wmp7.1 or 8,or newest winamp(can do video too),soundf.siren2--download/main page....If i were you;powerdvd4 for dvd and svcd and other video,and mymp3pro for;audio/ripping/encoding/editing/compressing/playing/organizing/tagging.Its a great app,great wave/mp3/mp3pro player,even better jubox with all advanced features:cool: :cool: OFF course,if you wanna secure ripping///you have to use eac;But for audio thing overall,mymp3pro is excelent:)
