CPUInfo is a Windows based program which announces extensive information about the available processors.
Besides the information about the processor type, manufacturer, clock frequency, multiplyer and FSB, CPUInfo shows information about the processor caches, feature flags and machine specific registers (MSR). Additional to these the information from the Windows-Registry are included in the analysis.
With the feature "monitor core frequency" the clock frequency can be watched graphically, which is for example interesting at notebook computers with varying core frequencies (e.g. with Intel SpeedStep or AMD PowerNow!).
As target platform for CPUInfo are the Windows versions 9x/ME as well as NT/2000/XP suitable. Applying to the NT/2000/XP versions, all versions like workstation, professional, server, home edition, etc. are inclusive.
CPUInfo is interesting for everybody, who would like to know exactly which processor works in his system and which features it has. For the ambitious user this one shown internal affairs, so that new positions with respect to the used processor arising.
