Hi all,
as soon as i start to burn a movie file using nero 6, my cpu uses 100% of its resources.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal as i am brand new to all of this???? or do i just need to invest in a better CPU

either this or he lets Nero recode the video file, which usually ends in 100%CPU usage; :D

Greetings from
Duracell
:eek: The more I learn about that program the more I'm glad I don't use it.

thanks for the replies
im running xp and as far as i know you cannot enable the DMA as it is 'automatic' but if you know otherwise, please let me know how to do it.
i had already checked out woodys tips and downloaded the 'aspi'
regarding - recording the video file, can you let me tell me more, i do not understand.
thanks again

Can you do a search of your pc for the "NeroHistory.log" file? Then copy and past what it says with out your serial to a post. See that file can tell us a lot thats why we ask for it. :)
Also in woodys tips he tells you how to enable DMA.

thanks for the info.....
but why do i need to trash inCD, you mean by this to remove it totally right.
If you do a search of the forum you will find that a lot of programs have a problem with nero and Incd is one.

regarding - recording the video file, can you let me tell me more, i do not understand.
not recording, i mean re-coding or named as re-encoding or transcoding;
this is the process of a video format conversion e.g. from DivX to DVD standard or from SVCD to DVD standard;
such a format conversion will usally end in 100% CPU usage, and need time too;
only you know, what you commanded Nero to do;

Does it happen too, when burning a simple Data CD or Data DVD?
