cpu temp

my cpu is running at 55-61 c fan 3600 rpm, my motherboard is a gigabyte ga-7dxe cpu amd 2000, can i speed the fan up or what ? reaset heatsink?

If ya using stock fan say would be at highest RPM ... 55 - 61 c is normal temp for AMD's .. but I prefer mine under 50c .. while idling .. 2400+ idles at 45 - 47c .. 2000+ idles 40 - 45c ... 2400+ gaming 61 - 65c ... 2000+ 55 - 59c ... 2000+ runs cooler as I using Volcano 9 heatsink and fan .. noisy bloody things ..but do good job ... and I use CPUidle prog as well drops it 10c .. suggest ya grab that as well ..

Agreed, The volcanos do a good job, Artic silver 3 wil also help. Use a razor blade to spread a thin layer on the processor core. This will help the temp decrease. Here is a tutorial if you never have done this before.

i put a new heatsink and fan on now the temp is 35-40.c
the fans abit noisy 6000 rpm
it dont crash any more

its a [titan flower fan cooler] very cheep $16 nz or about 10 us $
