Ok here is the problem. When I burn audio cd's on every cd there is a couple songs that are screwed up and just wont play on the cd player. Most songs will but there are a couple screwed up? Second, when I burn a dvd there are spots on the movie where it is scratchy or skips? I think the problems are related. Also when I am listening to my mp3s the skip a lil too. That is why i am thinking maybe there is a spike or something? can some one help me out

polaroid DVD burner
Nero 6
amd xp 2500+
512 ram
windows xp pro

try disabling any background apps esp AV like norton ....
if u have cpuidle installed,disable it while burning,& also do as z0z3ko_Ol said,burn @ a lower/lowest speed ;)

Try following the ADVISE of the GUYS above lol :)

Also make some test burns with different speed/ settings using a CDRW as this is reusable and can be tested many times :)

Also If you have BAD mp3's then you MAY have BAD audio conversion i suggest maby makeing a couple of test tracks from your own working cd collection :)

This also may be a problem related to NERO 6 as its still not very stable !? ,maby if you have a version 5.5.9.0(i use this as its very stable !) kicking about possibly uninstall version 6 and try that :)

Hi whitemike, Welcome to our forum!

ticks and clicks are a usual part of AudioCD copy protections; if you have ripped out the music yourself, then take a look at this tutorial: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46159

No-Try the latest Nero 6 build-(6.0.0.23).It seems to be burnin` everything like a good `un-Not failed me so far (fingers crossed..)-seems 200% more stable than the other previous "sixes".I think it`s the best 6.x build so far- by far! :)
