copying VCD's

What the best software for copying VCD's? I have tried both Nero and Clone to copy Harry Potter and I cant seem to do it. Any Ideas? Thanks.

VCD's are not copyprotected in any way and are similar to Audio CD's, ie they are Mode2 Type 2 CD's.

Just about any CDR copying software can do a copy of these, but Diskjuggler would have to be the best I have found and use it almost exclusively now.

If the HP CD's your trying to copy are defective in any way then that could be your problem. Try copying the *.DAT file in the MPEGAV folder on the CD to your HD and then convert to MPG format with VCDGear 3 (from w*w.vcdgear.com ) and burn to CD as a VCD with Nero. Then that copy will be copyable.

A very good CDROM reader is needed to read them as well, try using your burner as a reader.

I have a question here.
After installing the newest version of Nero, I created a VCD of Harry Potter. It's weird cause when I tried to copy the newly created VCD, Nero would complain that the cd is copy protected and can't resume the burn.I checked through the settings and can't seem to find out how I managed to place a copy protection on the CD.I'm sure it wasn't doing this on the older Nero version.

I JUST FOUND A VCD WICH IN A WAY IS COPY-PROTECTED:
SOMEONE HAS MANAGED TO ADD AN STRUCTURE OF FILES TO THE CD SO WHEN YOU INSERT THE CD TWICE IN A PC WITH A BURNER IT STARTS AN AUTORUN SECUENCE AND DELETES ENTIRELY YOUR HARD DRIVE.

I KNOW YOU CAN AVOID THE SECUENCE (PRESSING SHIFT WHEN YOU INSERT THE CD) BUT IF YOU DON´T KNOW ABOUT THIS IT CAN TAKE YOU WITH YOUR PANTS DOWN.

well weboneando , I would say that would be a very illegal VCD, cause if any VCD company did that, I am sure they would be put out of business really fast!

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I would say someone gave you a CD that they hacked into messing up your system. No legal company would make any type of CD/VCD/DVD that would delete/format your HDD.
