Copying Harry Potter disk 2

Anyone managed to do this?

I've tried but it seems to be protected.

I ripped the whole DVD with smartripper and re wrote it with PrimoDVD but it doesn't work properly

Any advise?

Cheers, Rigpig

Don't use SmartRipper, it's crap for DVD to DVD - use DVD Decrypter instead. It has a cool feature to rip the DVD to an ISO image file - this retains the original structure of the DVD, including the original volume name.

The latest version claims to remove RCE protection, but I haven't been able to test this.

Once ripped, import the image file into DVD-capable recording software such as Nero Burning ROM - just make sure you're using at least version 5.5.7.8.

Note: If you're still using Win9x, you won't be able to create ISO image files bigger than 4Gb - that's the maximum file size allowed under FAT32. Upgrade to Win2000 or WinXP and use NTFS instead.

I've ripped the image to an iso but can't seem to import it into nero (I am using the latest version)

If I associate the ISO with Nero and double click it Nero opens up but want's to burn a CDR iso and not a DVDR Iso

any tips?

OK, I've just successfully made a copy of Harry Potter disc 2 - here's how to do it...

1. Use DVD Decrypter to rip all of the files in File mode (not ISO).

2. Start Nero Burning ROM and select the DVD-Video compilation (you may need to use Nero 5.5.8.2. for best compatibility).

3. Nero will create a VIDEO_TS folder - drag all of the DVD files into this folder.

4. Hit the record button... about an hour later (at 1x), you should have a perfect copy!!!
