copying CDR's via NTI cd maker

I have been using NTI cd maker platinum for a while now and have alwys thought it's stable to backup my data to CDR's, but I am trying to copy a data CD to another CD with it, and it kept giving me buffer underrun error; i have wasted 4 blank CD's already even tho I have a really fast computer and that I have lowered the writing speed;

can someone tell me what the problem might be or what software would be best for that? cloneCD? i have never tried that and i dont know if it's better than nti cd maker for this or not.

Well if I wa you I would try out Alcohol120 or CDMade upto build 2.2.11.19. Mind you Clonecd is also a good option.;)
B4 you try any of the above see if the cd has a protection on it, to do this download Clonyxxl 2215 from here to see if your data cd is protected.
Both Alcohol120 and CDMate have options to set the type of disk you want to copy...(Protection).

no, it shouldnt have any protection on it; it's adobe ultimate; i originally burned the image onto cd myself so there's no copy protection.

also i have an iso that has 3 files with these extensions: .ccd, .img, .sub; what program do i use to burn it to CD?

ubamous3: This is a CloneCD image, you can burn it with CloneCD (of course), or CD Mate, or Alcohol 120%. Or alternatively you can mount it to Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% emulator and copy it with pretty much anything.
I liked NTI 5.X.X very much, sorry I cannot say the same for NTI 6.X.X series.

thanks for the info; i did try cdmate and it worked like a charm, both copying the data cd over as well as burning the image; i wonder why nti cdmker just couldnt handle the cd to cd copy very well; i lost about 4 cdr's until i called it quits. :)

CDMate has always done good copies for me (better than Clone without a doubt - after 2 failures on Clone, S...l...o...w reading the cd, and a failed copy, while it worked sweetly and quickly on CDMate, Clone was dumped and never reappeared on my comp, it may have improved, but while CDMate does the bizz why change ?

As for NTI, I use it for everything BUT copying games and such.
