Copying an MPEG-1 file ?

I know nothing about this, but I have an MPEG1 movie to put on a CD and both NTI and Nero wouldnt do it, and I have not a clue whats wrong. Is there a way to go about this ? I have had no problem putting some Sim[psons onto a disc, so why not this ???

I wouldn't know what type of problem you have without you telling me, and I ain't multimedia experted either. But I have been doing quite a bit of fixing VCD/SVCD problem to either burn to VCD/SVCD or DVD correctly (almost daily hobby). Anyway, Nero, NTI and most VCD/SVCD burning programs require a VCD or SVCD compliant (correct Video/Audio frame's) to continue, Nero has option to burn non-compliant (non standard VCD/SVCD) and it will only work with standalone DVD player can play .MPG file (or you will have to play on computer).

Well, most of the VCD/SVCD compliant correcting I use TMPGenc to convert from non-compliant to compliant by changing the Video or Audio to correct setting (example changing video from 23.xx to 29.97fps, or long GOP stucture to whatever setting to work with DVD authoring etc.)

If the MPG has some bad spot causing player to lockup, abort in middle etc. then I use util like VCDGear to FIX the bad spots (VCDGear removes the bad area's).

Like the idea of VCDGear, downloaded it but have no idea what to do with it, as I said I have as much idea with this as I have with nuclear physics ! ;) :D

Use VCDEasy (www.vcdeasy.com) to burn your MPEG1 to VCD. If there are errors or problems, it will give you a good report on what it is.
That is connecting with some search engine ! Anyway, got it, and opened it, and the free version only handles files smaller that this file I was going to burn to disk. And as its not THAT important, I'll not be buying the full version. Thanks anyway C.M.
