Howdy folks.
I'm new here, so be gentle with me.
Now here's my problem.
I have a Phillips DVD burner that I'm using to get all my VHS tapes on to DVD.
These are tapes I filmed myself, you know, family get togethers, vacations, etc,...
I've transfered about 20 VHS tapes, but there are 3 that will not transfer to DVD. The display on my burner tells me that they are "Copy Protected". They CAN NOT be copy protected. I FILMED THEM MYSELF!!! I shot them with a Sony Digital camera (that I no longer have) then transfered the footage to VHS. Now that I'm trying to transfer the VHS to DVD I get the Copy Protect message. I even tried hooking up two VCR's and double taping them, then burn the NEWLY taped VHS's to DVD. No go. Won't work.
Philips WILL NOT HELP ME. They have NEVER answered ANY emails. I've called at least a dozen times and after waiting on hold for 30 minutes each time, I've been cut off befare I can even say hello. I finally got ahold of a tech on the Philips chat line and they couldn't help me. They told me that they'd have a manager call me the next day, but they never called. I've returned this burner once\, but even the new one has the same problem. I'll NEVER buy another Philips product.
I just need to get these 3 VHS tapes transfered to DVD. Can any of you smart people out there tell me how to bust this Copy Protect problem?
Thanks so much.
