Copy Audio Protected CD's

Hi Guys,

It's good to be home again. The place has changed a bit since I left almost a year ago. Many new faces, new things allowed that were prohibited, but still the same helpfull place for everyone who wants to learn something new.

Going back to what I'm going to post. The last 2 days I have been going through the last posts (some 900 posts) and I noticed that there were people asking how to rip (copy) protected audio CD's. I never tried it out, because I still haven't been able to put my hands on one of those CD's. On some Spanish sites it is stated that you can rip those CD's using AudioCatalyst or CDRWIN. It seems to work, since there are some protected CD's that have been ripped with one of those two Proggies and are online.

This link I'm going to post is a spanish one. It describes how to use CDRWIN to rip protected audio CD's. Altough as I stated before in spanish, I think the images are more than enough to understand how to do this. If there is still people who want to be able to read, tell me and I will translate and attach it here. There is another one that describes how to do this with AudioCatalyst. As I stated before if there is a translation needed then post a message asking for and I will translate and post attach here.

The links are the following ones:

Using AudioCatalyst:

Guys, I know AudioCatalyst is a Bulls**t ripper, but it seems to be the only one capable of doing this. The version that is used for cDRWIN is 4.0, but I think the OLD 3.8 will do the job too.

Now I would like to ask for some information: Do anyone G6 Renamer especialy version 1.51? If so, is there a Crack (wich I can't find) to crack it. This program is of great utility, watch it at h**p://www.gene6.com/renamer/. If you know of something would you be so kind to informe me.

Cheers,

PS: Poko, great to see you doing the great you always did, and also Chicken_man

Hi Poko,

What you say is true. The idea behind this is that the recorder or cdrom recognizes the CD. In other words you start AudioCatalyst and then insert the CD. Acording to them it should read the tracks. As I mentioned I never tried it out, that's why I posted so it can be tested. There is "prove" that it works, but I'm not that sure too. If I'm not mistaken all plextor Burners can bypass this protection without any trick, The idea is to give some possibility to the ones that have older burners like myself (Remember Poko, I have that HP8100, wich is the worst thing you can have, but it still does what I need). I mentioned EAC on a forum were this was descused, but most (if not all) Spanish speakers don't know it, so I either don't know if EAC is able to do the trick on some older burners like AudioCatalyst is said to do.

Cheers.
