Convert Wav Or Mp3 Audio To Mpa

You are going to think i am totally crazy, but here goes.....

Winoncd 5 Has a Vcd Audio Album Option...

But the encoding engine sucks, i am pretty sure if i encode the audio first with a better encoder i can fix the problem, i believe it has to be in .mpa format somehow.....

Any Suggestions

Here is what you need:
a very good MPEG 1 Layer 2 encoder; tooLAME 0.2i, the older brother of LAME MPEG 1 Layer 3 encoder.
This compile has psychoacoustic model 2 enabled by default and is much more stable than the other compile I found.

Is it possible to encode a wav or other audio format to .mpa???

This encoder is a command line one. Just extract it to your Windows folder, open a MS-DOS window and to read the help type tooLAME -h.
You can convert .wav to .mp2 format, that is the MPEG 1 layer 2 format used in VCD; just change the extension to .mpa to burn.
To convert mp3->mp2 you have to convert the .mp3 to .wav first.
